And we believe great storytelling is what brings that mission to life.<br \/>We\u2019re growing quickly and investing heavily in video, and we\u2019re looking for a skilled, reliable Video Editor who knows how to turn raw footage into content that stops the scroll and drives real results.<br \/>This is a full-time remote contractor role where you\u2019ll partner closely with our Marketing Operations team to produce both short-form and long-form content across platforms like YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.<br \/>We\u2019re looking for editors who understand that great content isn\u2019t just visually polished\u2014it performs. If you naturally think about retention, watch time, pacing, hooks, and audience psychology while editing, you\u2019ll thrive here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compensation<\/strong><br \/>Starting at $1,500\/month, with opportunities to grow based on performance, speed, creative impact, and reliability.<br \/>If you care about pacing, hooks, storytelling, and making content perform, you\u2019ll feel right at home here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Be Doing<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Editing short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) designed for engagement and retention<br \/>\u2022 Editing long-form YouTube videos (talking head, tutorials, and story-driven content)<br \/>\u2022 Adding captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound design, and color grading<br \/>\u2022 Working from creative briefs and occasionally helping shape them<br \/>\u2022 Collaborating with our marketing team during US business hours (EST\u2013PST, your choice)<br \/>\u2022 Managing multiple projects with fast turnaround times<br \/>\u2022 Iterating on edits based on feedback and performance data<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We\u2019re Looking For<\/strong><br \/>Strong English communication is required.<br \/>You don\u2019t need to sound native, but you do need to communicate clearly and collaborate confidently with a US-based team daily.<br \/>\u2022 4+ years of professional video editing experience working with brands, agencies, creators, or performance-focused media teams<br \/>\u2022 Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software<br \/>\u2022 A strong portfolio showcasing short-form content optimized for engagement, retention, and conversions<br \/>\u2022 Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, retention curves, and direct-response or eCommerce-style editing<br \/>\u2022 Ability to take ownership of projects, manage deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced remote environment<br \/>\u2022 Reliable internet and a capable editing setup (we\u2019ll ask about your specs during the process)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonus Points<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Experience with AI video tools (SORA, Kling, Runway, etc.)<br \/>\u2022 Graphic design skills (thumbnails, social assets, lower thirds)<br \/>\u2022 Podcast editing experience<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Hiring Process (No Guesswork)<\/strong><br \/>We keep things simple and respectful of your time:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Apply \u2013 Submit your application, portfolio, and a quick intro<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Portfolio Review \u2013 We look for alignment with our content style<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Intro Call \u2013 A short video chat to connect and learn more about you<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Team Interview \u2013 Meet with our Marketing Operations lead<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Test Project \u2013 A brief assignment so we can see your skills in action<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We move quickly.
