As our Venture Analyst, you will help us source, evaluate, and support early-stage investments across the stack. Whilst predominantly a venture role, you will be expected to look at liquid opportunities on occasion.<\/p>\n<p>You will join a tight, collaborative investment team. You will develop broad coverage across crypto verticals, build the technical fluency to engage credibly with founders. You will create detailed investment memos, build a network, and generate deal flow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Deal Analysis<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct due diligence on early-stage crypto projects across sectors and architectures <\/li>\n<li>Assess businesses end-to-end including team, market, product, business model, and tokenomics <\/li>\n<li>Build investment memos, market maps, and competitive analyses <\/li>\n<li>Develop and refine views on emerging verticals and technologies\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Deal Sourcing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Generate deal flow through proactive outreach, community engagement, and ecosystem presence <\/li>\n<li>Build relationships with founders, builders, and other investors <\/li>\n<li>Screen inbound opportunities and manage pipeline tracking <\/li>\n<li>Represent the firm at events, hackathons, and conferences\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Portfolio Management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor portfolio company progress against milestones and market developments <\/li>\n<li>Prepare portfolio updates and performance reports <\/li>\n<li>Support portfolio companies with research, introductions, and strategic input\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research &amp; Thought Leadership<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Track sector trends and contribute to the firm&#8217;s evolving investment theses <\/li>\n<li>Publish blog posts and knowledge nuggets (Medium, Twitter) <\/li>\n<li>Represent the firm in public-facing research and ecosystem conversations\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree or higher, flexible on background but preference for technical (CS, engineering, or equivalent) <\/li>\n<li>Generalist orientation with the technical capability to read a technical documentation and engage with founders on architecture and design choices <\/li>\n<li>Prior investment experience required, at a crypto or traditional venture fund, or in an investing capacity at an operating company <\/li>\n<li>Curiosity across the crypto stack, with a point of view on where the interesting opportunities are forming <\/li>\n<li>Excellent research and communication skills; clear, structured writing <\/li>\n<li>Self-starter who works independently\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Private Health Insurance<\/li>\n<li>Paid Time Off<\/li>\n<li>Work From Home<\/li>\n<li>Training &amp; Development<\/li>\n<li>Performance Bonus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RockawayX backs founders building the next generation of crypto infrastructure, applications, and middleware.
