{"id":323289,"date":"2026-05-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.remotetribe.life\/remotejobs\/job\/health-safety-officer\/"},"modified":"2026-05-26T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T23:00:00","slug":"health-safety-officer","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.remotetribe.life\/remotejobs\/job\/health-safety-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"HEALTH &amp; SAFETY OFFICER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Objective<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>The Health &amp; Safety Officer supports the organization\u00e2\u0080\u0099s commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment across all operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities Include<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote and enforce workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and standards.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring proper reporting and corrective actions are implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor compliance with local safety regulations and company requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate H&amp;S documentation, records, and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Support emergency preparedness and response activities.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with management and employees to foster a strong safety culture.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Education \/ Expertise \/ Skills<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Degree or Certification in Occupational Health &amp; Safety or related field<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of workplace safety standards, incident investigation, and risk management practices<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities<\/li>\n<li>Schedule flexibility\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Experience<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in a Health &amp; Safety role, preferably within industrial, construction, manufacturing, or operational environments will be an asset.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Diversity and Inclusion at CEMEX<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>At CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and do business.
