The emphasis is on steady, incremental progress (getting<\/p>\n<p>1% better every day) rather than large-scale transformation initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This is a collaborative and execution-focused role, contributing to process and system<\/p>\n<p>improvements while working alongside internal stakeholders and external technical partners<\/p>\n<p>where required.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Process Optimization (Lean-Focused)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build a working understanding of Newport Water\u00e2\u0080\u0099s operations and key workflows<\/li>\n<li>Support teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Service in reviewing and improving processes<\/li>\n<li>Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and sources of waste in day-to-day activities<\/li>\n<li>Assist in redesigning workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and client experience<\/li>\n<li>Apply Lean thinking to simplify processes and reduce unnecessary steps<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through small, practical changes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements Gathering &amp; Process Mapping<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with team members to understand current processes and challenges<\/li>\n<li>Help identify required data inputs, outputs, and dependencies<\/li>\n<li>Document current-state and future-state workflows in a clear and practical way<\/li>\n<li>Support the translation of business needs into structured solution requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Digital Solutions, Automation &amp; AI<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Configure and improve solutions within ERP, CRM, and other business applications<\/li>\n<li>(including Zoho One)<\/li>\n<li> Build and maintain automations that reduce manual work and improve accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Support integration between systems (ERP, CRM, website, e-commerce, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure solutions align with agreed process improvements<\/li>\n<li>Work with external specialists on more advanced integrations or technical implementations when needed<\/li>\n<li>Assist in applying AI tools where they offer clear, practical benefits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Applications Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the day-to-day administration and improvement of core business applications<\/li>\n<li>Help maintain data accuracy, system structure, and user access controls<\/li>\n<li>Assist in ensuring systems remain reliable and aligned with operational needs<\/li>\n<li>Escalate or coordinate more complex system issues where required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Data, Reporting &amp; Visibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain basic dashboards and reports to support operational visibility<\/li>\n<li>Help ensure data is accurate and consistently used across systems<\/li>\n<li>Support leadership with tracking key metrics and performance indicators<\/li>\n<li>Use data to highlight opportunities for process improvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Documentation, SOPs &amp; Learning Systems<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key processes<\/li>\n<li>Ensure SOPs are clear, practical, and aligned with how work is actually performed<\/li>\n<li>Support development of training materials and onboarding resources<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to building and maintaining the company\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Learning Management System (LMS)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure documentation is kept current and accessible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Governance, Continuity &amp; Good Practice<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain clear documentation of workflows, automations, and system changes<\/li>\n<li>Follow established change management and testing practices for updates<\/li>\n<li>Support basic system security practices such as access control and data handling<\/li>\n<li>Help ensure solutions are maintainable and not overly dependent on individuals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>End-User Support &amp; Adoption<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide first-line support for business applications and digital workflows<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve common system issues<\/li>\n<li>Support teams in using systems correctly and consistently<\/li>\n<li>Reinforce adoption
