As the volume and complexity of data continue to grow, the program requires an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to provide advanced analytics, reporting, dashboard development, and data-driven insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards, scorecards, and visual analytics using Microsoft Power BI. <\/li>\n<li>Build and optimize enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query. <\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain data models, semantic models, and ETL processes. <\/li>\n<li>Integrate Power BI solutions with Azure-based data platforms and on-premises data sources. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and data engineers to understand reporting requirements and KPIs. <\/li>\n<li>Translate business requirements into scalable analytical and reporting solutions. <\/li>\n<li>Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities. <\/li>\n<li>Present analytical findings and recommendations to business and executive stakeholders. <\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain Power BI Service features including scheduled refreshes, alerts, and workspace management. <\/li>\n<li>Configure Row-Level Security (RLS), incremental refresh, and performance optimization strategies. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and security compliance. <\/li>\n<li>Provide end-user support, training, and documentation. <\/li>\n<li>Leverage AI-assisted analytics tools to automate insights generation and enhance reporting capabilities. <\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as required. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mandatory Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Education<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience translating business requirements into analytical and reporting solutions. <\/li>\n<li>5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing advanced Power BI dashboards and reports. <\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience with SQL for querying, data transformation, and reporting. <\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience analyzing large and complex datasets. <\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience developing complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and data models. <\/li>\n<li>4+ years of experience implementing Power BI Service capabilities including refresh schedules, security, and deployment. <\/li>\n<li>4+ years of experience designing business intelligence and analytics solutions. <\/li>\n<li>4+ years of experience using advanced data visualization and storytelling techniques. <\/li>\n<li>Strong experience working with Azure data platforms and enterprise reporting environments. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with source code control and version management practices. <\/li>\n<li>Experience leveraging AI-assisted analytics tools and technologies. <\/li>\n<li>Experience with Databricks Medallion Architecture. <\/li>\n<li>Experience building data products using Azure Synapse Analytics. <\/li>\n<li>Experience working with Government of Alberta data environments and datasets. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work Arrangement<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remote work from within Canada is required. <\/li>\n<li>Resource must supply their own computer and equipment. <\/li>\n<li>Windows operating system is preferred for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) compatibility. <\/li>\n<li>Occasional onsite meetings may be required in Edmonton, Alberta (approximately 3\u00e2\u0080\u00934 times annually or as needed). <\/li>\n<li>Travel, accommodation, relocation, and related expenses will not be reimbursed. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Security Requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Criminal Record Check may be required prior to project commencement. <\/li>\n<li>Successful candidate must complete mandatory Government of Alberta training, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) <\/li>\n<li>Security Awareness Training <\/li>\n<li>Other required onboarding courses
