We operate based on treating each other with kindness and support each other as a team.<\/p>\n<h2>The position<\/h2>\n<p>This is an exciting time to join Remote and shape a new business as the <strong>Senior Product Manager, Remote Build<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Remote Build is Remote&#8217;s move on the agentic shift: as AI agents proliferate across HR and Finance stacks, they need to route through the employment infrastructure layer \u2014 labour law across 100+ countries, payroll, entity structures, the compliance rail. Remote product teams develop the core; Remote Build delivers the rest <em>with<\/em> customers \u2014 deploying standard connectors, building bespoke ones, co-building custom apps and agents on top of Remote&#8217;s APIs, MCP, and CLI, and running managed services after launch.<\/p>\n<p>This is a 0\u21921 role. Your mission: make every Build engagement compound \u2014 deciding which stay bespoke and which evolve into capabilities Remote owns, maintains, and improves long-term. You&#8217;ll report to a <strong>Senior Group Product Manager<\/strong> and work closely with the Remote Build Principal (business, P&amp;L) and Technical Lead (delivery, scoping).<\/p>\n<h2>General requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AI \/ agents fluency.<\/strong> You have shipped agent-facing or AI-native product surfaces and you have a clear point of view on what changes when agents \u2014 not humans \u2014 are the primary consumer of an API.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Proficiency in Cursor and\/or Claude Code is required.<\/strong> You must be able to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code and prototypes \u2014 not just write specs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Senior-level experience<\/strong> as a Product Manager, with a track record on platform, API, or developer-facing products. You have shipped surfaces other people build on.<\/li>\n<li><strong>0\u21921 builder.<\/strong> You have stood up a new product line or business from nothing. You are comfortable with ambiguous scope, unset baselines, and P&amp;L thinking.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The &#8220;product-biz&#8221; mindset.<\/strong> Proven ability to think commercially. You understand how a connector, an SDK, or a managed-service line shows up in revenue, gross margin, and retention.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Outstanding customer-facing communication and collaboration skills.<\/strong> Build trusted customer relationships, lead discovery and working sessions, translate needs into clear requirements, and align cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technical fluency.<\/strong> Familiarity with APIs, REST, Webhooks, OAuth, and the design choices that make a platform safe for external builders. You can read a partner&#8217;s docs and identify the risks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strong UX sensibilities.<\/strong> Great UX for the user, always. A connector, a custom app, or an agent should feel effortless to the person on the other side \u2014 every time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Great judgment-making strategic<\/strong> (what to prioritize) and tactical (feature scope) decisions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Language:<\/strong> Business-level proficiency writing and speaking English.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Domain advantage (nice to have):<\/strong> experience with HRIS, payroll, or fintech platforms (Workday, HiBob, Personio, BambooHR, Greenhouse, Netsuite, Merge, Finch, or similar).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Own demand signals and unit economics.<\/strong> Aggregate what customers are asking for across engagements, and own the packaging and pricing that make Remote Build services repeatable and profitable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Standard integrations \u2014 fast, fixed-fee deployments.<\/strong> Make deploying Remote&#8217;s existing standard connectors fast, predictable, and fixed-fee.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Custom integrations \u2014 build and productize new connectors.<\/strong> Remote Build builds the bespoke connectors customers ask for that don&#8217;t yet exist. Decide which of those graduate from one-off into reusable connectors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Custom apps and agents \u2014 run the engagement model and outputs.<\/strong> Remote Build builds custom apps and agents <em>with<\/em> customers, on top of Remote&#8217;s APIs, MCP, and CLI. Codify the patterns that repeat \u2014 reference architectures, agent templates, and starter kits.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Managed services \u2014 productize the playbook.<\/strong> Turn the recurring services line into a product. Reusable processes, customer-facing surfaces, and the tooling that lets managed services scale on leverage, not headcount.
