Tight Gas :<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as tight gas SME, providing expert guidance on reservoir characterization, stimulation, and production forecasting<\/li>\n<li>Act as Technical Authority (TA2) for reservoir engineering, ensuring adherence to Shell standards and technical integrity<\/li>\n<li>Define and deploy fit-for-purpose workflows, tools, and best practices across assets<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert input into well design, fracture diagnostics, and production surveillance<\/li>\n<li>Drive technology deployment and innovation, leveraging global learnings<\/li>\n<li>Define and assure Well &amp; Reservoir Management and surveillance and data acquisition requirements to support development and safe operations\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Reservoir Engineering Delivery &amp; Assurance:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Hydrocarbon resource estimation, classification, and reporting in line with corporate and regulatory standards<\/li>\n<li>Integrated production and injection forecasts with clear uncertainty ranges<\/li>\n<li>High-quality reservoir simulation modelling and analytical evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure calibration of models and volumes to actual field performance<\/li>\n<li>Deliver robust formation pressure predictions, pore pressure management, and reservoir risk assessments<\/li>\n<li>Ensure technical quality through formal peer reviews, assurance processes, and compliance with standards\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>HSSE &amp; Risk Management: Accountable for HSSE-critical reservoir engineering activities, i.e. <\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Pore pressure prediction, H\u00e2\u0082\u0082S prediction and associated risk management<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with safety standards, and Life-Saving Rules\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic Planning &amp; Portfolio Stewardship:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to and influence asset development strategies and long-term portfolio plans<\/li>\n<li>Support decision-making and investment cases with robust technical inputs<\/li>\n<li>Align subsurface outcomes with portfolio value delivery and business objectives<\/li>\n<li>Support JV governance and stakeholder engagements<\/li>\n<li>Support the Portfolio Growth opportunities in Oil and Gas assets under the ambit of Shell Oman\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Integration &amp; Stakeholder Management:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead integration across subsurface, wells, facilities, and operations<\/li>\n<li>Act as a key interface with JV partners, regulators, and internal technical authorities<\/li>\n<li>Build strong alignment between asset teams and corporate functions\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership &amp; Capability Development:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, coach, and develop reservoir engineering talent and tight gas capability<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance on competency development, succession planning, and resource deployment<\/li>\n<li>Foster a culture of technical excellence, assurance, and continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Promote knowledge sharing and external engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Reservoir Engineering Skills with demonstratable expertise to Mastery level competencies in :<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Reservoir performance evaluation and forecasting with reference to tight gas and conventional oil and gas development related to multiple recovery mechanisms.<\/li>\n<li>Resource estimation and reserves reporting<\/li>\n<li>Reservoir Simulation Modelling and Uncertainty Management<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate\/manage impact of key subsurface uncertainties<\/li>\n<li>Reservoir Engineering HSE Critical activities such as Managing Pore Pressure and H2S prediction<\/li>\n<li>Production Forecasting: generating production (and injection) forecasts for all fluids produced and injected with uncertainty ranges, using the appropriate tools and techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience &amp; Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline (Master\u00e2\u0080\u0099s preferred)<\/li>\n<li>20+ years experience in Reservoir Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated expertise in tight gas \/ unconventional reservoirs<\/li>\n<li>Experience in JV environments and complex asset portfolios<\/li>\n<li>Certified Reservoir Engineering TA2 (mandatory)\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Company Description<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Shell in Oman has been a partner in the country\u00e2\u0080\u0099s remarkable development and progress over the last several decades.
