We run a fully remote content team of editors, filmmakers, and creators across the world.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for an editor who can own their output and be creative within proven marketing fundamentals \u2014 not just execute tasks. This is not a gig; it&#8217;s a long-term partnership. Many of our editors have been with us for 2+ years.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll work closely with our Content Lead and Marketing team. We&#8217;re a small, high-output team that moves fast, communicates daily, and invests in the people who show up.<\/p>\n<h2>What Success Looks Like<\/h2>\n<p>After 3\u20136 months, a successful hire is consistently producing short-form videos that scale on ads and organic \u2014 50%+ thumb-stop rates, 30%+ hold rates \u2014 and iterating on winning formats without needing direction from the marketing team. You&#8217;ll be a trusted creative partner, not just an executor.<\/p>\n<h2>Core Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Edit TikTok and Reels content optimized for hook rate, retention, and watch time \u2014 not just aesthetics<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Review your past edits daily, identify what&#8217;s working and what isn&#8217;t, and improve without repeating mistakes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Collaborate with the marketing team to test new creative angles and iterate on winning formats<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Turn around content quickly and communicate proactively every day \u2014 no check-ins required<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Stay on top of TikTok and Instagram trends and apply them where relevant<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Must-Haves<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>You can watch a viral video or winning ad and break down exactly what made it work<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A strong recent portfolio of short-form edits (ideally 20+ from the last few months)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Familiarity with multiple formats: headline videos, talking heads, voiceovers, AI videos<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to read metrics (hook rate, retention, watch time) and know what to change next<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Takes ownership, internalizes feedback, doesn&#8217;t repeat the same mistake twice<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Highly skilled in CapCut Pro or a comparable editing tool<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong written and spoken English; able to work independently<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Nice-to-Haves<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Experience editing for e-commerce brands<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience reading ad metrics and understanding what drives ad performance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Not a Fit If<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Your portfolio is mostly long-form, YouTube, or event\/wedding content<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>You can&#8217;t point to a recent viral video or winning ad and explain why it performed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>You need a fixed schedule or close supervision to stay productive<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>You&#8217;re looking for a short-term project or side gig<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Compensation &amp; Working Style<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Engagement: Independent contractor, paid in USD<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Compensation: Competitive base rate + uncapped monthly performance bonuses<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Location: 100% remote<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hours: ~40 hrs\/week, long-term role<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Schedule: Fully flexible \u2014 work whenever you want, as long as you turn work around quickly and communicate daily (async).
