Smartling\u2019s Business Development team is a group of highly motivated sales professionals whose focus is to source and engage with high-potential prospects. As the first point of contact with potential customers, you will qualify active buying interest and be a critical part of the bridge between marketing and sales to ensure new customer acquisition is consistent, high-quality, and frictionless.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Smartling is an AI-native translation platform that\u2019s redefining how the world\u2019s biggest brands go global \u2014 ranked\u00a0<strong>#3 on Fast Company\u2019s Most Innovative Companies list<\/strong>. While most companies are still figuring out how to use AI, we\u2019ve spent years building it into the core of our platform \u2014 and we\u2019re just getting started.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s in it for you<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Become a business representative via regular and structured coaching and training<\/li>\n<li>Be a part of an ambitious and highly motivated team<\/li>\n<li>You will learn vital prospecting skills and be a champion in discovery calls with prospects\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Develop your core foundation and launch your career as a SaaS sales professional<\/li>\n<li>Work in a fast-paced technology company<\/li>\n<li>Sales performance incentives for fun (SPIFFs!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You Will<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work alongside marketing and sales to source and engage with high-potential prospects and companies<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute outreach strategies via email, Zoom and social channels<\/li>\n<li>Generate curiosity with potential customers by clearly articulating Smartling\u2019s value proposition<\/li>\n<li>Act as a consultative partner for potential customers; fielding questions and handling objections<\/li>\n<li>Once prospects have been qualified and a fit has been identified, execute a hand-off to Account Executives<\/li>\n<li>Diligently record and manage prospect and company information in Salesforce.com<\/li>\n<li>Become a Smartling expert, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the product, competitive positioning and industry trends<\/li>\n<li>Be a Smartling ambassador at industry events and conferences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You Have<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Proficiency in French<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Interest in sales as a career<\/li>\n<li>Track record of top performance in a competitive environment<\/li>\n<li>A natural passion and curiosity for fast-paced technology<\/li>\n<li>Clear communicator with a deep sense of empathy<\/li>\n<li>A self-starter who loves problem-solving and teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent work experience<\/li>\n<li>1 year customer-facing experience<\/li>\n<li>A home office setup conducive for working remotely, and the ability to work effectively as a remote team member*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred but not required<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of sales and marketing tools, e.g. Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, Outreach<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience within a fast-paced technology company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You Are<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Results-focused. <\/strong>Motivated, hard-working and ready to level up to your career goals<\/li>\n<li><strong>Curious: <\/strong>You\u2019re a \u201cforever learner\u201d with an insatiable desire to gain new skills and knowledge<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enthusiastic<\/strong>.
