Your responsibilities will encompass both hands-on coding and line management, helping the team grow, improve, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our stack<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frontend: Vue.js, Vuex, Vue Router, Nuxt.js (Planned Migration), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Less, SCSS, Element UI\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Testing &amp; Build: Webpack, Playwright\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Backend Exposure: Java, Spring Boot, Node.js\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Infra &amp; DevOps Exposure: AWS, Kubernetes (K8s), Jenkins, FreeMarker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll be doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and mentor a team of Frontend developers within the Marketing Tech and Social domain.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Drive high-level architecture and design decisions for complex software systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and code quality.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Lead major technical migration projects, specifically executing our roadmap to transition the platform to Nuxt.js and Server-Side Rendering (SSR).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Focus heavily on performance engineering, optimizing site load speed, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO for high-traffic environments.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a heavily hands-on contribution level (coding, architecture, and code reviews) alongside line management responsibilities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Manage team members\u2019 performance, lead 1-on-1s, drive career development, and handle work allocation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Drive continuous improvement in development processes, modern tools, and delivery standards across the team.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, backend engineers, and product teams to refine requirements and ship high-quality features.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8+ years of software development experience with a primary focus on Frontend technologies.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>2+ years of experience in a formal leadership or line management role (mentoring, performance evaluations, work allocation).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong technical mastery of JavaScript\/TypeScript (ES6+), CSS preprocessors (Less\/Sass), Webpack, and Git.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience with state management architectures (e.g., Vuex, Redux, NgRx).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Experience planning and executing large-scale web migrations, particularly with Nuxt.js or Server-Side Rendering (SSR) frameworks.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong track record in web performance engineering, Core Web Vitals optimization, and technical SEO.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in high-traffic, high-scale environments such as MarTech, AdTech, E-commerce, Betting, or Events platforms.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with modern end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Playwright) is a plus.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Basic awareness\/understanding of backend environments (Java, SpringBoot) and DevOps concepts (AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins) is a plus.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s in it for you<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sporty is a remote first company in pursuit of sustainability<\/li>\n<li>A competitive salary + individual performance based bonuses every quarter<\/li>\n<li>28 days paid annual leave<\/li>\n<li>Our core working hours are 10am-3pm in your local time zone with flexibility outside of this<\/li>\n<li>Referral bonuses &amp; flash bonuses<\/li>\n<li>Top of the line equipment<\/li>\n<li>Annual company retreats to provide great internal networking opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interview Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remote video screening with our Talent Acquisition Team\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Offline Take home assignment<\/li>\n<li>Remote video interview with Team Members (60 Mins)<\/li>\n<li>Final discussion with the hiring manager (60 mins)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested, we encourage you to apply!
